For over 19 years, Aesculap Academy, the esteemed healthcare education and training arm of the B. Braun Group, has been a pillar of educational excellence in Thailand. During this time, Aesculap Academy has consistently advanced practical training programmes, enhancing the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals not only in Thailand but across the Asia Pacific region.
Dedicated to advancing healthcare through knowledge and expertise sharing and providing platforms for healthcare professionals and patients to share experiences, Aesculap Academy has established strong partnerships with healthcare sectors and partners across various treatment areas. With devotion to protecting and improving people’s health, Aesculap Academy has forged over five collaborations in Thailand.
Ramathibodi home based-chemotherapy model (RHCM) Project
This initiative in collaboration with Ramathibodi Comprehensive Cancer Center, Ramathibodi Hospital reflects our commitment to advancing treatment and enhancing the quality of life for cancer patients through home chemotherapy. By broadening the availability of cancer medications to hospitals throughout the Asia Pacific region, it could reduce hospital costs and bed occupancy rates while delivering treatment outcomes comparable to conventional methods.
Neurosurgical Cadaveric Workshop for Residency Training
Our partnership with Neurological Institute of Thailand for the Neurosurgical Cadaveric Workshop for Residency Training further underscores our commitment to sharing expertise. This collaboration aims to advance surgical expertise by providing training in specialised techniques and cutting-edge instruments to leading spinal cord surgeons, ultimately enhancing their skills, and improving patient outcomes.
Tripartie MoU with ESRA and Siriraj Hospital
The tripartite MoU with the European Society of Regional Anaesthesia & Pain Therapy (ESRA) and Siriraj Hospital strengthens training in healthcare education and ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia. This collaboration has elevated the expertise of anaesthesiologists in performing ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve blocks, including single-shot and catheter insertion techniques. Esteemed experts will also conduct the EDRA Part 2B practical oral examination, a key component of the prestigious ‘European Diploma in Regional Anaesthesia & Acute Pain Management (EDRA). This project highlights our dedication to advancing regional anaesthesia practices and improving patient care across the Asia-Pacific region.
The Wound Ostomy and Continence Learning Center by Aesculap Academy
In collaboration the Enterostomal Therapy Nurse Association, this initiative sets training standards and enhances knowledge for specialised nurses in ostomy and wound care, aiming to improve patient quality of life and advance overall patient health.
One Together: For Safety in Medical Device Reprocessing
Building on these successes, we are expanding our partnerships beyond healthcare sectors to include business partners. This expansion involves establishing a centre dedicated to advancing education in medical device and sterile packaging management. Through the project ‘One Together: For Safety in Medical Device Reprocessing,’ in collaboration with Namwiwat Medical Corporation Public Company Limited, we aim to facilitate knowledge exchange, share best practices, and elevate sterile medical procedures to international standards.
